Real Mack FC is the first Sierra Leonean locally based football club to hire a British coach, Steven Appleton.
During this pandemic that ravaged the football world, the Chief Executive Officer(CEO) of Real Mack FC has been paying 50% of players’ salaries despite the lack of football in Sierra Leone.
This year he has helped the club secure land for the development of a football academy in the rural area of Freetown, the capital city.
Mahmoud Mackie, has overseen the running of the football club as a business venture – Real Mack group of company, which encompasses Real Mack Orange money, Cash Point to pick money through Western Union and Money Gram, EDSA, and Real Mack Osusu was recently launched to help manage Sierra Leoneans’ money.
Under the dynamic leadership of Mahmoud Mackie, Real Mack Football Club is the only locally based Sierra Leonean club currently running an active football club website.
With these structural capabilities and administrative proficiency, the Real Mack CEO Mahmoud Mackie has been nominated as one of this year’s sports personalities in the National Entertainment Award (NEA).
