The Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH is currently implementing the following Project: Transformational Energy Use for Sierra Leone – Phase 1” (TEUSL-1)
The “Transformational Energy Use for Sierra Leone – Phase 1” (TEUSL-1) is a multi-donor action jointly co-financed by the European Union and the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development, BMZ and implemented by GIZ as a contribution to the multi-donor initiative Energising Development (EnDev), which is also financed by the Netherlands Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Norwegian Ministry of Foreign Affairs (NORAD), the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development, and the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation (SDC).
GIZ Sierra Leone through one of its projects “Globale ProgrammEnergising Development” are currently on the market to seek for an experienced and qualified company for the supply and installation of two (2) fully functional Cold rooms for two (2) different sites with different temperature zones for TEUSL1. The cold rooms will be procured, transported, installed and commissioned at the Mamudiakoro Community Vegetable Processing Centre in Wara Wara Yagala Chiefdom and at the Falaba District Women Vegetable Farmers’ Cooperative is in Koromasilia village
Mandatory Requirements
Upon submission of the bid, suppliers will be required to submit the following document:
– Company details including full company name, full address, phone and email.
– Copy of company registration certificate.
– Copy of valid NaSSIT Clearance Certificate.
– Copy of Valid NRA – Tax Clearance.
– Company profile including number of employees (permanent / temporary in total) and number of professional staff qualified to perform the work (at least five (5) staffs).
– Reference of at least 2 similar supplies done in the past 2 years (full details of references including telephone numbers and email addresses must be submitted for further verification).
– Annual total turnover for each of the last three (3) years; (2022, 2023 & 2024) with an average value of not less than two million New Leones (800,000 New Leones). Should be proved through annual financial statement.
– Evidence of experience in supplying BOQ materials and installation of cooling room solutions.
– Eligibility of Participants will be evaluated based on the requirement of administrative documents above and on their technical experience (see evaluation grid below for the technical experience below):
• Experience in supplying BOQ materials and installation of cooling room solutions, minimum two (2) works in total. Project value minimum each 5.000 Euro (50%)
• At least one (1) Electrical engineer with at least 5 years working experience in the Renewable energy sector or equivalent qualification with a project management background and demonstrated experience in installing solar powered cooling rooms (25%)
• Evidence of ownership of installation equipment and machinery necessary to execute the works or evidence of the possibility of hiring the same. (20%)
• Experience in Sierra Leone (5%)
