Sierra Leone Bar Association (SLBA), presidential aspirants Augustine Sorie-Sengbe Marrah and Wara Serry-Kamal have jointly announced the convening of an Extraordinary General Meeting (EGM) through a press release issued today.

The announcement, made on behalf of the SLBA membership, outlines the details of the EGM scheduled pursuant to section 187(4) of the Companies Act 2009 (as amended). Despite the stipulated 21-day period having elapsed without the Directors of the SLBA convening the meeting, the members have invoked their rights under Section 187(4) to proceed independently.
