The Government of Sierra Leone has officially announced that Armed Forces Day will be observed as a public holiday nationwide.

In a public notice issued today, authorities informed the general public that all sectors will recognize the day in honor of the country’s armed forces.

Citizens are advised to plan accordingly, as businesses, government offices, and schools are expected to remain closed in observance of the national holiday.

Armed Forces Day is celebrated annually to recognize the dedication and sacrifices of Sierra Leone’s military personnel in ensuring the nation’s security and sovereignty.
