As part of their corporate social responsibility of supporting the creative arts and pushing for development in the creative industry, the leading telecommunications company in terms of empowering the entertainment industry, Orange-SL has on Wednesday 27th July, 2022, signed new Orange-SL brand ambassadors. This event took place at the Orange-SL headquarters at IMATT.
The new generation of Orange-SL brand ambassadors include 7 individuals in the music industry namely; Drizilik, Markmuday, Mello 7, Tyler Magic, Faze Ya Alimamy, and Triple T. The deal also saw the signing of a music producer Skills, as well as a DJ by the name of Pilot C.P.O. These nine creative individuals were unveiled at the Orange-SL headquarters at IMATT, to serve as the face of Orange-SL in the entertainment industry.
The contract as brand ambassadors will last for a year, and these creative individuals are expected to use their influence to promote the products of Orange-SL, creating contents that will push the Orange brand.
As the telecommunications company has been focusing more on growing the creative arts in Sierra Leone, the event aimed at bringing onboard creative individuals with a productive platform to become Orange-SL brand ambassadors. The mobile company has created a fruitful partnership with individuals who are doing well in their different fields of creativity, as well as individuals with amazing characters. The mobile network company underscored that it is highly important to bring such people onboard as partners, because their brands are booming and with such partners onboard the Orange-SL brand will also blossom positively.
The commercial director for Orange-SL, Alimatou Abaye, thanked the newly signed Orange-SL brand ambassadors from the entertainment industry for coming onboard and partner with the mobile network.
She added that the vision of the telecommunications company is to see that their brand is being promoted right across Sierra Leone.
Alimatou Abaye emphasized that they want to get closer to the entertainment industry and support the local arts, and that the Orange-SL brand can only blossom if they work and grow together with creative Sierra Leoneans, and promote local arts like musicians, and other creative individuals in the entertainment industry.
She underscored that the idea is to empower young people in the creative industry and give them a platform to sell out their own brands across Sierra Leone, and to promote the Orange-SL brand and in the process.
She urged the new brand ambassadors to use their platform and create contents that will sell Orange-SL to the world positively.
She concluded that Orange-SL is looking forward to a much more prosperous relationship with these set of brand ambassadors and many others that would come onboard in the future – as the goal is not only to promote the Orange-SL brand but also to reach out to Orange whenever they have a project of their own that can be profitable.
Speaking on behalf of the DJs’, Pilot CPO being the first Dj to be signed by Orange-SL, thanked Orange-SL for their thoughtfulness and beautiful initiative. He added that it is a great opportunity to as it is the first time for a DJ to be a partner with the number one service provider in the country, and they are happy as the job is a big boost for the Sierra Leone entertainment industry.
The other brand ambassadors also expressed their happiness and acknowledged that they are well determined to work with the Orange-SL team to see how best they can create a positive impact to improve the brand of the telecommunications company. They encouraged other organizations to also follow the footsteps of Orange-SL to see how best they can help transform the entertainment industry in Sierra Leone.
The event climaxed with the signing of partnership deals between the newly signed Orange-SL brand ambassadors and the telecommunications company.
