The Executive Chairman of Bo Rangers and CEO of the Southern Arena Stadium, Babadi Kamara, has today, Thursday 17th October 2024, disbursed an impressive Two hundred million old leones (NLe200,000) grand prize for the 23rd edition of the Clozet Creation Football Tournament held at Lungi’s central field.
Originally set at NLe100,000,000, the star prize fund saw a significant increase to NLe200,000,000. Explaining the decision according to Babadi Kamara, the brand sponsor, this increment is motivated by the outstanding exceptional organizational leadership demonstrated by the tournament’s organizers, “I have been impressed with the level of dedication and professionalism the organizers have shown,” Babadi Kamara remarked.
“As someone who appreciates efficient leadership, I saw it fit to double the star prize because I admire the hard work of everyone involved and since the first day you wrote me I have pledged my support as a way of encouraging further excellence.”
Part of the sponsorship, fifty million leones (Nle50,000) has been allocated to the Clozet Creation Development Organization for the Organization’s school building project as the Organization also has a functional and effective Junior and Senior Secondary School, which school has been built as part of the competition’s proceeds over the years. This move by Babadi Kamara represents a watershed moment for the Clozet Creation Football Tournament, which, until now, had never received sponsorship throughout its 22-year history.
Babadi Kamara’s involvement has not only amplified the tournament’s profile but has also elevated its status, with the NLe200,000,000 prize being the highest ever record-breaking sponsorship for a mini-league competition in the whole of Sierra Leone.
