APC USA Branch Donates Rice to 2 Constituencies

Two Constituencies in the Western Area that suffered the malicious axe of the bias judiciary in Sierra Leone by unconstitutionally removing their elected representatives from Parliament have benefitted from bags of rice donated by the APC USA BRANCH.

Making the presentation on behalf of the Branch to the Deputy Leader and Chairman of the party, Hon. Minkailu Mansaray, Chernor Mamadu Lamrana Jalloh stressed the desire and aspirations of his colleagues, noting that it was with one heart and one mind , that they came together to ensure that citizens were catered for .

Mr Jalloh further went on to say that despite the huge challenges faced by comrades in the USA, they had defied the odds to help and to respond to the economic cries of the people .

“This donation is to cushion the challenges faced by comrades in those constituencies ,more so when their rights to democratic constituency leadership have been violated .Realizing that the government cannot provide the basic needs of its citizens ,and taking into consideration the economic impact of the Covid 19,we felt obliged to do more for our people,” he said.

Comrade Chernor Mamadu Lamrana Jalloh thanked the national executive for their resilience despite the turbulent storm in the party and the country at large. He assured the executive of their continued support in respect of similar donations to other constituencies that suffered same. “The APC is for and with the grassroots, whether in governance or not , whether you remove our MPs or not ,the APC will always be there for the people,” Mr Jalloh stated. He urged the executive to continue their show of leadership in the party and in the fight against the Covid 19 by following precautionary measures.

On behalf of the Chairman and Leader and the two constituencies , Hon. Minkailu Mansaray thanked the APC USA BRANCH for such a timely and crucial intervention, especially at a time when the loudest cry in the country is for something to eat. He thanked the Branch for always keeping the party and the people in mind and assured them that the donation will be used for its intended purpose. “There is no passion to be found in playing small in settling for a life that is less than what you are capable of living.Our people deserve a better life than this based on the foundation we laid during our years in governance,” the Deputy Leader said.

The Deputy Leader took them through the reforms requested for by the party membership and the leadership’s commitment to meeting that call . “If you don’t expect much , you won’t be disappointed. There were plenty of distractions from detractors, but to reach our fullest potential, we’ve got to stay focused on the task at hand which is to unify the party and putting it on a better footing to win 2023,” Hon.Mansaray averred. He urged members in the diaspora to always contact the Secretary General’s office for any update, questions and enquiry. He concluded by saying “when you get knocked down, you must get up again”
