The National Secretariat of the All People’s Congress (APC) has issued a directive instructing District Chairmen and Executives to immediately display the party’s Provisional Membership Register in all constituencies and wards across Sierra Leone.

The directive follows the publication of the Provisional Membership Register on 19th July 2025 and subsequent observations by the Secretariat that certain districts have yet to make the register publicly accessible, limiting opportunities for members to verify their names and status.

In its notice, the Secretariat also highlighted concerns over outstanding membership subscription payments, which contravene Article 54(g) of the APC Constitution (2022), and the failure of some members to provide verifiable proof of membership as required by Article 10(d). The Constitution stipulates that every enrolled member must be issued a membership card bearing their name, address, constituency, or external branch.

The Secretariat further announced that the Final Membership Register, to be published 21 days before the commencement of lower-level conventions, will include only the names of members who are financially compliant and meet all constitutional requirements.

“All members with outstanding dues or without verifiable proof of membership are strongly advised to regularize their status without delay,” the notice stated. “Failure to do so will result in exclusion from voting or contesting in the upcoming lower-level conventions and at the National Delegates Conference (NDC).”

The statement, signed by APC National Secretary-General Lansana Dumbuya (Esq.), reaffirmed the party’s commitment to transparency and accountability in the membership verification process. It was also copied to the Political Parties Regulation Commission (PPRC) for record and necessary attention.
