The All People’s Congress (APC) has announced that its nationwide Ward Elections will now take place on Saturday, 14 February 2026, following consultations with the Political Parties Regulation Commission (PPRC).
The decision came after a stakeholder engagement on Friday at the PPRC Conference Hall in Freetown, which the party described as constructive and aimed at ensuring a transparent, orderly, and constitutionally compliant electoral process.
In a public notice, the APC outlined key guidelines for participation, including voter eligibility, membership verification, subscription payments, and candidature procedures. Only members who have fully settled membership subscriptions by 6 February 2026 will be included in the Register of Eligible Voters. Members who have not yet verified their membership must complete verification at their ward, constituency, or district offices by 5:00 p.m. on 10 February 2026, while arrears must be cleared by 11:59 p.m. the same day. Late payments or verifications will not be accepted.
The party also reminded its executives to issue membership cards in accordance with Article 10(e) of the APC Constitution (2022). Members listed on the Final Register, scheduled for publication on 11 February 2026, can vote even if they lack a physical card, provided their details match the register; presentation of a valid National ID may be required.
For ward-level positions, the APC confirmed that both online and hard copy submission of Ward Candidature Forms are acceptable. Payments for membership and candidature fees are encouraged via the party’s Orange Money Merchant platform for real-time verification, with Rokel Commercial Bank also available as an alternative.
The APC confirmed that the PPRC has been formally notified of the rescheduled elections and the operational guidelines governing their conduct.
