The All People’s Congress (APC) has rejected claims that it is exploiting the issue of electoral justice as a strategy to remove President Julius Maada Bio from power and position its former presidential aspirant, Dr. Samura Wilson Kamara, as head of state.
The party’s National Publicity Secretary, Alhaji Sidi Yayah Tunis, described the allegations as misleading, insisting that the APC is not pursuing any agenda aimed at overturning the current presidency. He stressed that the party’s focus is instead on preparing for its upcoming internal elections.
Tunis explained that the APC has already complied with provisions of its constitution and is now working toward conducting internal polls.
These elections, he noted, will lead up to the 2026 delegate conference where the party is expected to elect its official flagbearer for the next general elections.
He assured members and supporters that the APC remains committed to democratic practices and internal cohesion, emphasizing that its priority is to strengthen its structures ahead of the 2026 polls.
