With deep sorrow and profound sadness, the people of Tonko Limba Chiefdom and the entire Kambia District are mourning the sudden and tragic passing of Hon. Ernest Dura Koroma, the Member of Parliament representing Constituency 002 under the All People’s Congress (APC).

Hon. Koroma reportedly died a few hours ago in a fatal road accident alongside his driver. The tragic incident has left his constituents and the broader Sierra Leonean public in shock.

The late lawmaker was widely admired for his commitment to service, leadership, and the development of his people. Known as a true son of Tonko Limba, Hon. Koroma had earned the respect of both his colleagues in Parliament and his constituents for his dedication and humility.

“This is a heavy loss not only to the people of Tonko Limba and Kambia District but to Sierra Leone as a whole,” one community elder lamented, describing the late MP as a hardworking representative who consistently championed the needs of his district.

As condolences continue to pour in from across the country, the APC and Parliament are yet to issue an official statement regarding the circumstances of the accident and funeral arrangements.
