The Internal Elections Management Committee (IEMC) of the All People’s Congress (APC) has announced a nationwide Pre-Convention Elections Sensitization Tour scheduled to run from 15th December 2025 to 4th January 2026.
The initiative forms part of the party’s preparations ahead of its upcoming conventions and is aimed at strengthening transparency, internal democracy, and member participation in the electoral process.
According to the IEMC, the sensitization exercise will engage Regional Chairmen, District Chairmen, Members of Parliament, Councillors, Constituency and Ward Executives, Affiliate Groups, and the general membership of the APC. The Committee stated that the tour will focus on providing clarity on key issues related to the party’s internal elections.
The sessions will cover four major areas:
APC Internal Elections Procedures
Code of Conduct for Elections
Rights and Responsibilities of Party Members
Compliance with the APC Constitution (2022) and the Elections Framework
Beyond district-level meetings, the IEMC will also hold consultative engagements with several party structures and interest groups, including the National Elders Council, the National Young Congress (NYC), the National Women’s Congress (NWC), the National Veterans Congress (NVC), the Persons With Disability (PWD) Wing, Affiliate Groups, Former Members of Parliament, and Former Councillors.
The sensitization tour will span all districts across the country’s five regions, including the Western Area. Each district session is expected to bring together executives, key stakeholders, and the wider membership to ensure an inclusive and well-informed participation ahead of the National Delegates Conference.
The Committee has encouraged all party structures to mobilize their full executive teams and members to ensure successful engagements in their respective districts.
The IEMC emphasized that cooperation from all APC organs is crucial as the party works toward a well-coordinated, transparent, and credible convention process that reflects its commitment to deepening internal democracy.
