For Progress… APC AGREES TO PPRC DIRECTIVES

The All People’s Congress (APC) has declared itself fully prepared for the upcoming 2026 national census and the 2028 general elections, following a successful nationwide census sensitisation seminar for party supporters.

Speaking on Thursday, APC Census Committee Chairman, Leonard Balogun Koroma, popularly known as Logus, stated that the party is intensifying training programs nationwide to ensure members are ready to “stand up and be counted” in the forthcoming census.

“Our great party has never been more united, more organized, or more determined,” Mr. Koroma said. “We boast a robust and progressive constitution — a modern document that stands as a model of democratic excellence.”

Addressing concerns over recent remarks by the Sierra Leone People’s Party (SLPP) chairman, who allegedly called on security agencies to impede the APC’s activities ahead of 2028, Mr. Koroma dismissed the warnings as signs of panic. “The APC is unstoppable in 2028,” he asserted, emphasizing that the party remains committed to the democratic process and the ballot box as the instrument for victory.

Highlighting the challenges faced under the current SLPP administration, Mr. Koroma criticized the government for economic hardships, weak governance, and damaged democratic institutions. “The people of Sierra Leone have endured enough under the SLPP, and they will not allow a repeat of the disputed 2023 elections,” he said, referencing the slow implementation of the tripartite and ANU agreements.

The APC leader reiterated that the party’s members are committed, disciplined, and dedicated to restoring effective governance and development. He called on the SLPP to modernize its structures and adopt progressive measures in line with 21st-century democratic standards.

“The people’s mandate will be respected in 2028. No intimidation, manipulation, or propaganda will silence the voices of Sierra Leoneans,” Mr. Koroma said, asserting that the APC is on an “unstoppable march toward victory.”

The APC’s declaration comes amid growing political tension as parties begin to prepare for the next electoral cycle, with the ruling SLPP facing increasing criticism over governance and economic performance.

Long Live the APC! God Bless Sierra Leone!
