The All People’s Congress (APC) has officially dismissed widespread rumours regarding the health of its National Chairman, Hon. Minkailu Mansaray, describing them as “malicious,” “baseless,” and aimed at sowing confusion within the party’s ranks.
In a strongly worded press release issued by the APC National Secretariat, the party confirmed that Chairman Mansaray is currently in India undergoing a routine medical check-up and treatment, and is responding well to care.
According to the statement, he remains in high spirits and has been in regular contact with key party officials, including the Deputy National Chairman who is currently handling the day-to-day responsibilities in his absence.
“Contrary to a wave of malicious rumours and irresponsible propaganda being circulated by ill-intentioned individuals, we categorically state that the National Chairman is not terminally ill, neither has he passed away,” the party stated.
“These fabricated claims are entirely false, baseless, and deliberately designed to sow confusion, fear, and division within the party.”The APC condemned what it described as the latest in a series of desperate attempts by detractors to undermine the leadership of the party.
“These acts reflect not only the moral bankruptcy of their authors but also their disregard for human decency and dignity,” the release noted.Hon. Minkailu Mansaray, a longstanding member of the APC, has served the party from his early days in the Youth League to his current position as National Chairman.
His contributions and sacrifices to the party and nation, the APC emphasized, make the recent targeted rumours particularly “shameful and disheartening.”Party officials urged supporters and the general public to ignore unofficial sources and instead rely on verified updates from the APC National Secretariat.
“We remain committed to providing timely, transparent, and accurate updates as needed,” the statement assured.
The APC also reaffirmed its solidarity with Chairman Mansaray, lauding his continued dedication and loyalty, even while receiving treatment abroad.
As the party continues with its internal strengthening and national outreach, especially with the ongoing National Youth Conference in Bo, it called on members to remain focused, united, and vigilant against attempts to destabilize the party through misinformation.
The party concluded by calling for prayers and well wishes for the Chairman’s full recovery, assuring all that his leadership remains intact and that he is expected to return soon.
