Ahead of Commonwealth Games… Sierra Leone Sprinter Ibrahim Bangura Sets to Make History

Sierra Leone fastest 100 meters runner, Ibrahim Karim Musa Bangura has told Owl sports that he is full of confident before departing the Lungi International Airport for the Birmingham Games in England. 

He said he is mentally and physically prepared ahead of the games. He said:  “I had a few days with my coaches and I think I just needed to keep it chilled, to be honest; he told this press. “I`m in 10.55sec shape, now I just need to put in some solid training before the games start.”

Asked about his expectation; he explained: “Nothing but success and let`s see how it goes. I will be paired with top athletes across the world but I am confident of flying my country`s flag higher. 

“I’m not really sure what I expected to run, but it’s given me a lot of confidence going into the Commonwealth Games in a few days to come.”

“I am making by debut in the Commonwealth Games and there are major target for the 2022 Games. He added: “The Commonwealth Games is everything I’ve been gearing my training towards – my aim is grab medal whether be it gold, silver or bronze medals. I’m just going to go there and give it my all to take my athletics career to another level.” He fumed.
