NATIONAL REVENUE AUTHORITY
The NRA is in the process of restructuring the ICT Department to meet the challenging needs of the Authority. In this regard therefore, the NRA is inviting applications from suitably qualified Sierra Leoneans to fill vacancies in the following areas:
MANAGER, SOFTWARE/SYSTEMS DEVELOPER (1)
- QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:
A degree in computer science/Information Systems or related field or a combination of related experience and education.
Should have a minimum of 5 years of technology experience with at least 3 years hands-on technical roles in the field and relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.
A result-oriented individual who thrives working in a fast-paced environment.
Knowledge and experience in web technologies including HTML, JavaScript, PHP, web services, XML and related programming tools will be an advantage.
- CORE COMPETENCIES
- Demonstrated ability to develop in Microsoft Visual Studio environment using Visual Basic, C-Sharp etc.
- Ability to identify tasks which require automation and automate them.
- Extensive knowledge of data processing, hardware platforms, and enterprise software applications
- Technical experience with systems networking, databases, web development, and user support
- Good background in Database design in Oracle, Microsoft SQL Server and Access
- Background in UNIX/Linux, Microsoft .Net Framework, Java, Shell Scripting and HTML.
- Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills
- Strong Project Management Skills
- Strong Analytical and problem-solving skills
- Self-Motivated with the ability to prioritize, meet deadlines, and manage changing priorities.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- The Software/Systems Developer will be responsible for undertaking all aspects of software development /implementation, administration, maintenance, and support.
- The post holders will manage, supervise, and provide leadership for teams that will be responsible for implementing, supporting, maintaining, and administering the Authority’s operational and support business systems.
- Provide support in translating user input into specifications for software upgrades.
- Implement policies and procedures for data/information processing and computer systems operations and development.
- Work with Vendors to specify, design and implement business systems that are efficient, scalable, and stable.
