In the ongoing second episode of Chief Executive Office of the National Public Procurement Authority(NPPA) Ibrahim Brima Swarray’s trophy 2020, each day has a different story to tell.
Day seventh of the competition saw a clash between Kormoru FC and Ngelahun Bavoihun in the Nongowa chiefdom Kenema district.
While the match was in progress, many fans present from both sides subscribed that Ngelahun will emerge the winner due to their dominance in possession, constructiveness on the ball, and with the calibre of players from the district team Kambui Eagles, division one clubs including Kahunla rangers, to name but few.
As football is all about determination, delivery and consistency, Kormoru FC maintained their defensive quality all throughout the 90 minutes of the match with their goal keeper been the most outstanding man to deny all attacks made by Ngelahun team.
The Kormoru goal man who proves very much exceptional ever since the start of this year’s tournament won the man of the match after saving well over 15 chances from Ngelahun and automatically send his side to a penalty shootout which most people in football consider a lucky moment.
Maintaining his form as in the 90th minutes, Kormoru goal man saves two penalties out of the first four while Kormoru players converted all four penalties into a goal to move to the quarter final of the competition.
