The General Manager in charge of Administration and Human Resource at the National Social Security and Insurance Trust, Peter Jusu Kenah, on Thursday, 5th and Friday, 6th November, 2020. commissioned four residential quarters for Managers in the South, East and North Regional offices, and the Records Warehouse at Newton.
Handing over the keys and policy of the quarters to the Managers, Mr. Kenah stated that the construction of residential quarters for Regional Managers was borne out of Management’s desire to provide an enabling working environment and a better livelihood for employees. He said the quarters comprise a three-bed room apartment, fully furnished with the right ambience for quality living.
The General Manager expressed hope that the venture would solve the problem of accommodation for the Managers who would be transferred from one region to the other, and give them the right mindset for their official assignments.
He entreated them to make the best use of the quarters with utmost care.
“These are the Trust’s assets meant to be used by generations. Use them but ensure that they are well taken care of”, he admonished.
Mr. Kenah encouraged the Managers to carefully read and understand the policy for the use of the quarters to avoid the punitive measures for any deviation and or misuse.
Speaking at the occasion, the Acting General Manager, Operations, Edwin Mohamed Kamara, lauded Management for providing decent residential quarters for the Regional Managers, describing it as a worthy enterprise.
“I am particularly pleased with the speed and decency at which this administration has completed the project,” he said, adding that it was an incentive to his team of selfless managers to do more.
Mr. Kamara reiterated that the staff would not let him down, and called on the Community leadership, the security and youths to watch over the facilities and continue their hospitality, brotherliness and the camaraderie NASSIT had always enjoyed from them.
Speaking on behalf of the community, the Headman of Newton village, Francis Kamara, appreciated NASSIT for the construction of such an edifice in their community. He said the building would add value to their community and would be an evidence of development among them.
He called on NASSIT to consider their youths for any engagement and assured them of the community’s continued support.
In his vote of thanks, the Manager of the Records department, Abdulai P. Kargbo, expressed his gratitude to Management for such venture which reinforced NASSIT’s commitment to seeking the welfare of its staff. He assured Management that they would follow the policy of the quarters and ensure that they take the best care of the facilities.
