Speaking from his New York New Rochelle residence, the former Ambassador of Sierra Leone to the United Nations, Ambassador Felix A Koroma intimated the Owl Press that he has noticed is that oppositions parties has been deliberately denied access to the government broadcasting service.
The Ambassador told this press that SLBC was part of the legacy left by the United Nations systems with strict conditions that the opposition parties should benefit from it. This has been the trend with past government.
However, and nothing out very conspicuously, the current government through SLBC has deliberately refused and denied members of the opposition parties air space.
“In this regard, I am calling on the management of the SLBC, the current government, members of the diplomatic corps and the United Nations representative to Sierra Leone to ensure that equal opportunities are given to all opposition parties so that they can have a platform to present their case”, He noted .
The young and dynamic Ambassador notes that is the country should move forward, the voice of the opposition will help in giving the direction. This according to him will help in promoting our democracy.
