RECRUITMENT OF AN INSURANCE BROKER FOR STAFF MEDICAL INSURANCE

The Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH implements projects and programmes based on a bi-lateral agreement between the Governments of Germany and Sierra Leone. In Sierra Leone, the GIZ has been working since 1963 in the following areas: Employment promotion and agriculture, strengthening the health care system, resource governance and sustainable energy access.

The Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH Regional Office based in Freetown, Sierra Leone, with District offices in Makeni, Bo, Kambia, Kailahun etc. We seek to engage a qualified and licensed Insurance Broker/Agent to design, manage, and administer a comprehensive medical insurance scheme for our staff and their eligible dependents.

Mandatory Requirement:

1. Administrative Documents for Companies:
2. Certificate of Business Registration
3. SLIACOM License
4. Valid NRA Domestic Tax Clearance Certificate 
5. Freetown City Council Certificate
6. Valid NASSIT Tax Clearance Certificate
7. Current Client Reference List
8. Organogram with at least 5 people
9. Reference brokage with a minimum commission value of 30,000 EUR.

Technical Requirements:                                                                                                                              

• Licensed and registered with the Insurance Commission of Sierra Leone. Provide copy of license.
• Minimum years’ experience brokering group medical insurance for INGOs, UN, or corporate clients in Sierra Leone.
• Proven track record with at least 3 referenceable clients. Provide contact details and reference letter.
• Financially sound and professionally indemnified.
• Professional Indemnity Insurance
• Company profile, approach/methodology, key personnel CVs, and references.
• Brokerage fee structure or commission rates.
• At least 2 sample medical insurance quotes from different underwriters with benefits schedule.
