The All People’s Congress (APC) and the family of Hon. John Charles Conteh have announced his death.

Conteh, a sitting Member of Parliament representing the APC, was described as a distinguished son of Bombali and a committed public servant whose death has left the party and the people he represented mourning.

In a statement announcing his passing, the APC and his family expressed their condolences and prayed for the repose of his soul.

The party said Conteh’s death is a significant loss to the people of Bombali, the APC family, the APC Parliamentary Group, the Parliament of Sierra Leone, and the country as a whole.

Hon. Conteh previously represented Constituency 031 in Parliament in 2018 before later serving as a representative of Bombali District under the Proportional Representation system.

During his time in Parliament, he contributed to parliamentary service and represented the interests of his constituents.

The APC described his service to the people and his commitment to public duty as a legacy that will not be forgotten.
