The Government of Sierra Leone has announced a reduction in the retail prices of petroleum products following a review of developments in international oil markets.
According to a public notice issued on Monday, 29 June 2026, by the Ministry of Information and Civic Education, the decision was reached after a meeting between the Government and Oil Marketing Companies (OMCs) to assess recent changes in global fuel pricing.
Effective immediately, the new pump prices are set at NLe 33.00 per litre for petrol and NLe 35.00 per litre for diesel.
The notice stated that the adjustment reflects the Government’s response to international petroleum price trends and its commitment to ensuring fair pricing for consumers.
It further assured that authorities will continue to monitor global fuel market movements and undertake periodic reviews of domestic pump prices where necessary.
