Francis Koroma Foundation Celebrates Three Years of Impact and Youth Empowerment

The Francis Koroma Foundation marked its third anniversary with a well-attended dinner and recognition ceremony held on Thursday, 21 May 2026, at JJB Restaurant and Lounge on Wilkinson Road in Freetown. The event brought together volunteers, youth leaders, partners, supporters, and invited guests to reflect on the foundation’s achievements and growing impact over the past three years.

The anniversary programme highlighted the organisation’s contributions to youth empowerment, education, leadership development, and mentorship both in Sierra Leone and internationally. Guests described the celebration as inspiring and a reflection of the foundation’s commitment to transforming lives through education and opportunity.

The event featured welcoming remarks and reflections on the foundation’s journey, emphasizing unity, service, and youth empowerment as key drivers of national development.

Presentations were made on the organisation’s impact in Sierra Leone and abroad. Cathrine Smith spoke on its achievements within Sierra Leone, while Kamuskay Kamara highlighted its international reach and growing global influence. Both speakers commended the dedication of volunteers and supporters who have contributed to the organisation’s expansion over the years.

A “Founding Member and Vision Report” was delivered by Isaac Bayoh, outlining the vision behind the establishment of the foundation and progress made since its inception. Lyzianah also presented on the history of the founder, explaining the inspiration and mission behind the creation of the Francis Koroma Foundation.

One of the key highlights of the evening was a volunteer recognition session, during which active supporters of the foundation were honoured for their service and commitment. Certificates of recognition were presented to individuals who played key roles in supporting the organisation’s programmes and activities.

The event also provided a networking opportunity for guests, young leaders, development partners, and community stakeholders, who discussed future collaborations to further strengthen youth empowerment initiatives in Sierra Leone.

Over the past three years, the Francis Koroma Foundation has built a strong reputation for supporting young people through mentorship, educational opportunities, leadership training, and community development initiatives.

The anniversary dinner ended on a celebratory note, with attendees commending the foundation for its impact and expressing optimism for greater achievements in the years ahead.
