The management, staff, and pupils of Bo School have welcomed plans for the construction of a modern 2,000-seater mini stadium and a six-a-side football pitch announced by Sierra Leone Football Association (SLFA) President, Babadi Kamara.

The proposed facilities are expected to significantly boost sporting activities and youth development within the institution while enhancing football infrastructure in the Bo community.

According to reports, one of the facilities will be constructed at the school’s main playing field, while the second pitch is expected to be located between Liverpool and London towns in Bo.

The initiative is being viewed as another major contribution by an Old Bo Boy toward the promotion of education, sports development, and youth empowerment in Sierra Leone.

Adding further significance to the project, representatives from FIFA recently visited the school to inspect the proposed sites and engage stakeholders on the planned development. Their visit is being interpreted as a sign of growing international support and recognition for the initiative.

Students, staff, and members of the school community expressed excitement and appreciation over the announcement, describing it as a landmark development for the institution.

They noted that the facilities would not only benefit Bo School students but also provide opportunities for football talent development, recreation, and healthy competition among young people across the wider Bo community.

The planned project forms part of ongoing efforts aimed at strengthening football infrastructure and expanding access to modern sporting facilities for young athletes in Sierra Leone.
