In a gesture promoting unity and generosity, Amara Brewa, Director General of the National Telecommunications Authority (NatCA), made donations to fasting Muslims and Christians at his Hill Station office.
The initiative comes during the holy month of fasting and aims to support members of both religious communities.
During the event, Brewa encouraged religious leaders to continue promoting tolerance and peaceful coexistence. He emphasized that fostering mutual respect among different faiths is essential for Sierra Leone’s social harmony and collective development.
The donation reflects Brewa’s ongoing commitment to community engagement and interfaith cooperation. Representatives from both Muslim and Christian communities attended the event and expressed appreciation for the gesture, noting its importance in reinforcing unity and goodwill.
NatCA officials highlighted that the initiative is part of a broader effort to support community development and encourage values of compassion and generosity across the nation.
The event serves as an example of leaders engaging directly with citizens to promote inclusivity and strengthen social cohesion during significant religious observances.
