The Disabled International Foundation (DIF) UK/Sierra Leone has conferred a prestigious Silver Jubilee International Leadership Award on Ambassador Anthony Navo, President, financier, owner, and Chief Executive Officer of the Africa Young Voices (AYV) Media Empire, in recognition of his outstanding contribution to business leadership and enterprise development.
The award was presented as part of DIF’s 25th Anniversary Silver Jubilee International Leadership and Social Impact Awards, which celebrate individuals and institutions demonstrating exceptional leadership, innovation, and commitment to socio-economic development.
The honour acknowledges Ambassador Navo’s strategic vision, corporate leadership, and sustained investment in the media and creative economy, which have positioned the Africa Young Voices Media Empire as one of Sierra Leone’s leading and most influential private-sector institutions. Under his leadership, AYV has expanded its operations, strengthened corporate governance structures, and created significant employment opportunities for young professionals in broadcasting, digital media, advertising, and content production.

Recognised as a forward-thinking African entrepreneur, Ambassador Navo has consistently promoted innovation-driven business models, private-sector growth, and youth employment, while demonstrating how media enterprises can remain commercially viable and socially responsive. His leadership reflects a deep commitment to inclusive economic growth and the development of local talent within a highly competitive media industry.
Through strategic investments in digital transformation, brand development, and modern media infrastructure, Ambassador Navo has contributed significantly to the modernisation of Sierra Leone’s media landscape, setting new benchmarks for professionalism, sustainability, and regional relevance.
Speaking during the award presentation, DIF Founder and President Dr Imambay Kamara announced the official grand launch of the Disabled International Foundation later this year, marking 26 years of humanitarian service, advocacy, and institutional impact.
“This award recognises business leaders who combine enterprise growth with social responsibility and long-term national impact,” Dr Kamara stated.

In his remarks, Ambassador Navo dedicated the award to the entire workforce of the Africa Young Voices Media Empire and to Sierra Leone’s young entrepreneurs. He reaffirmed his commitment to job creation, skills development, and sustainable private-sector growth.
The Disabled International Foundation reiterated its support for business leaders who not only build successful enterprises but also strengthen institutions, markets, and opportunities for future generations.
