Honourable Alhaji Musa Tarawalie has reaffirmed his commitment to grassroots development in Falaba District following the official disbursement of loan support by the Falaba District Cooperative Society to beneficiaries in Mongo Chiefdom.
The loan scheme, which began on Saturday, is being implemented through the Falaba District Cooperative Society with the support of Hon. Tarawalie as part of efforts to strengthen small businesses, improve livelihoods, and enhance financial stability among residents of the district.

Speaking on the initiative, cooperative officials emphasized that the funds are not political money, but a development-driven and economically focused intervention. Beneficiaries are required to repay the loans with interest in line with the cooperative’s regulations, a strategy aimed at ensuring sustainability and extending support to more people over time.
Hon. Musa Tarawalie’s support for the scheme places strong emphasis on women’s economic empowerment, particularly women engaged in income-generating activities across Falaba District. The initiative recognizes the vital role women play in family welfare and community development, with the expectation that empowering women financially will contribute to stronger households and a more resilient local economy.

The programme is open to all residents of Falaba District, regardless of political affiliation, background, or beliefs. Organizers stressed that the initiative is purely developmental, intended to promote self-reliance, stimulate economic growth, and support long-term community development.
Beneficiaries, especially women entrepreneurs and small business owners, have been urged to make responsible use of the loans and adhere to repayment terms to ensure the continuity of the programme and allow others in the district to benefit in the future.
