Sierra Leone’s Ambassador to Egypt Visits Leone Stars Ahead of Crucial World Cup Qualifier

๐‡๐ข๐ฌ ๐„๐ฑ๐œ๐ž๐ฅ๐ฅ๐ž๐ง๐œ๐ฒ ๐’๐š๐๐ข๐ช ๐’๐ข๐ฅ๐ฅ๐š, Ambassador of Sierra Leone to the Arab Republic of Egypt, paid a morale-boosting visit to Leone Stars at their camp at the Jewel Sports City and Aqua Resort in Cairo today, Monday, March 24.

The visit comes ahead of Leone Starsโ€™ crucial 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifying match against Egyptโ€™s Pharaohs tomorrow.The Ambassador was accompanied by Mohamed Bockarie Kallon, Information Attachรฉ, and David Kamara, Finance Attachรฉ of the Sierra Leone Embassy in Egypt.

During his address to the team, Ambassador Silla congratulated them on their recent 3-1 victory over Guinea Bissau, a win he described as a source of pride and joy for Sierra Leoneans at home and abroad. He expressed his admiration for the teamโ€™s performance and urged them to maintain their momentum as they continue representing the nation on the international stage.

In response, NSA Chairman Ibrahim Nyelenkeh expressed gratitude to the Ambassador for his visit, acknowledging the significance of his support. He assured him of the teamโ€™s readiness and determination ahead of the match.Leone Stars Assistant Coach Musa Kallon also welcomed the Ambassadorโ€™s visit, noting that it serves as a great motivation for the players.

He emphasized that the team feels confident and well-prepared as they continue their training. Head Coach Mohamed Kallon echoed these sentiments, reaffirming their commitment to securing a respectable result against Egypt.

Speaking on behalf of the players, team captain Kei Kamara extended his appreciation to the Ambassador and his delegation, stating that their presence has provided an essential morale boost. He reassured them of the teamโ€™s commitment and determination to give their all in tomorrowโ€™s encounter.
