How Could Someone Die and Resurrect 5 Years Later?

It amazes me greatly on how someone could have died and buried five years ago and resurfaces or resurrects again? It is hard to believe such a narrative, but different accounts on social media will want to make me believe that indeed a girl that died 5 years ago in a community in lungi has reunited with her family. I started seeing reports on the “resurrection” of this girl flooding social media on Friday, 5th July 2024. As the story unfolds, with the girl identified as Kadiatu Kamara herself affirming that yes, indeed, she died five years ago, but was taken away by a “devil”.

Speaking in a video posted on social media by a blogger Kadiatu surfaced in Funkia community, west of Freetown after her death five years ago; saying she came back to assist her mother and take over her bondo societal role as ‘soway” (initiator).

Another video of someone who identified himself as Abass Osman Kargbo, Media Officer of Lungi Police Division, confirmed that indeed 15-year-old Kadiatu Kamara of Maloko community Lungi, Kaffu Bullom Chiefdom, Port Loko district, resurfaced after her death five years ago. Posing in the video with Kadiatu wearing a broad smile, Mr. Kargbo quoted Kaditau’s mother to have confirmed that yes, her child who died and was buried 5 years ago at maloko Village had returned.

These and other accounts on social media seem to proof that yes, Kadiatu Kamara who died five years , was living in Funkia Community during those five years and has returned to her mother in Maloko Community where she was buried. How it happened in terms of spiritually or supernaturally and how has she been living in Funkia are still unclear. There are a lot of unanswered questions to convince me that indeed this girl resurrected from the grave.

However, this incident tend to support the experience of people claiming to have seen their loved ones who had died but immediately disappeared upon seeing each other face-to-face. Kadiatu’s case is different as she is determined to stay-not to disappear.
