The Freetown City Council (FCC) has announced its decision to enforce a no street trading policy on 23 designated streets within the municipality of Freetown, effective Monday, May 13th, 2024. This move comes after extensive consultations with relevant stakeholders and exhaustive sensitization efforts conducted in collaboration with the Trader’s Council.
The identified streets where street trading will be prohibited are as follows:

Wellington Street
Waterloo Street (Big and Small)
Walpole Street
Lamina Sankoh Street
George Street
Gloucester Street
Charlotte Street
Sanders Street
St. John Roundabout
Bathurst Street
Circular Road (stopping at Truscot Church)
Howe Street (Lower Howe Street)
Wilberforce Street (Lower Wilberforce Street)
Lightfoot Boston Street (except for between Pultney and Percival Street)

Pademba Road
Wilkinson Road
