GIZ is an Institution of German Development Cooperation whose main mission is the implementation of projects and programs in the areas of economic and social development.
To facilitate the coordination, the management of human and financial resources of the various projects and programs, a GIZ office has been created in Sierra Leone whose mission is to serve as support for the various projects / programs in the common areas of financial management., human resources management, supplies and logistics.
To better carry out this mission, GIZ needs the services of a Law Firm for Legal and Judicial Support and Advice, related to the activities of GIZ Projects in Sierra Leone.
2. PURPOSE
Through its projects and programs, GIZ wishes to recruit a reputable and experience Law Firm that will provide:
- The Law Firm will provide, depending on the case, verbally or in writing, all information or information, opinions or observations of a legal nature on questions of a general or specific nature that GIZ may request from them.
- The Law Firm will hear all cases brought before the courts and tribunals of the Republic of Sierra Leone which will be entrusted to it by the GIZ.
- The Law Firm may, at the request of GIZ, make an actual trip when a case, because of its importance or its particular nature, requires its intervention before courts other than those sitting in Sierra Leone.
- Identify and propose arrangements or legal forms adapted to institutional structures to be put in place within the framework of activities supported by GIZ, and support the drafting of the corresponding documents such as statutes, internal regulations, convention, partnership contract.
- Check and validate documents of a legal nature drawn up by third parties and in which GIZ or beneficiaries of project support are involved, then support GIZ in facilitating and monitoring their implementation.
- DOCUMENTS TO BE SUBMITTED
- The service provider provides proof of good standing, commercial qualification, payment of taxes and social benefits: Tax Clearance certificate of NRA and NASSIT.
- The service provider is based and registered in Sierra Leone: Certificate of Business Registration and Council Certificate.
- The service provider(s) should have a minimum of five (5) years’ experience in the tasks outlined and in the targeted areas in Sierra Leone and show a wide understanding of the topic: A brief company profile that holds details of their experiences in delivering on similar tasks is required.
- The Service Provider should provide list of clients (Organization – at least five) for which same or similar services has been delivered over the past 5 (five) years

Only prequalified bidders will be contacted with detailed Terms of Reference and tender documentation for submission of technical and financial bids.
