Orange-SL Launches ‘WEDA MASTA’ Service

 The biggest mobile telecom with the widest coverage in Sierra Leone, Orange SL, on Wednesday 17th August 2022 officially launched the ‘WEDA MASTA’ that will be able update its customers and Sierra Leoneans about the atmospheric weather conditions in the country.

The public relations person for Orange-SL Mabel Mason, welcomed the delegates and acknowledged that they are so excited to have all witnessed the occasion as they have decided to launch a very exciting platform which will enable their customers to know much more about the weather conditions in Sierra Leone every day.

Sulaiman Conteh, the new business products executive, in his statement affirmed that most times people are not knowledgeable about the weather situation in Sierra Leone, but Orange-SL is determined to educate Sierra Leoneans about weather conditions and give the best on weather update to its customers.

He further explained that they chose to name the service ‘Weda Masta’ because comes from a local language that everyone can read and understand, especially those who are located in the provincial areas.

He went on to say that the weather service will provide a correct update which is about 90% accuracy and by Using the short code *690# to subscribe with any mobile phone without the use of data service, so that the ordinary man without a smartphone will be updated after subscription.

He concluded that, there’s an option also to unsubscribe to the weather service if you don’t want be updated for a certain period.

The CEO of Orange Money service David Mansaray, highlighted that things such as these have an impact in our daily lives as humans, and that Orange-SL is determined to give knowledge to every Sierra Leonean in various sectors especially agriculture for the farmers in the sub regions.

He further acknowledged that he is very excited that they have launched the weather service and he urged people to take advantage of the ‘Weda Master’ service and make good use of it.

He concluded by thanking the Orange-SL team for making such a dream come true for so many Sierra Leoneans Estate.

The event climaxed with the official launching of the ‘Weda Master’ Service by the Orange money CEO alongside his team and other stakeholders, by dialing the short code *690#.
