The Eastern Technical University Students’ Union will be hosting the Chief Executive Director of National Public Procurement Authority (NPPA) Ibrahim Brima Swaray.
He will give a public lecture at the college’s Tejan Kabbah Hall on 17th February, 2022.
Procurement is not just a discipline, but a way of life which when properly regulated can develop a country within the swiftest time. The co-switching of other disciplines to practice procurement is antiquated and completely obsolete no wonder the myriad of inadequacies in procurement.
On account of the foregoing, the CE of NPPA will now take adequate measures to start teaching procurement at higher institutions to sanitize and recalibrate the expectation of becoming a Procurement Practitioner and break the big ice on the dirty tricks in procurement after this laundry, which is a coinage against the warfare on Bad Procurement and which will later then unveil a new dawn on healthy procurement that will achieve competition, transparency, accountability, fairness and aggregate it to advancing government priority, probity to accountability and above all value for money
The Eastern Technical University is earmarked as the genesis for this crusade.
The students are of the view that if they demand change in Sierra Leone; the bulk should be on procurement. Students are therefore encouraged to come and benefit hugely from the Public Lecture of Chief Ibrahim Brima Swarray, the National Vote Controller of Public Procurement in Sierra Leone.
