Constituency 132 identified forthcoming Member of Parliament in the person of Mr. Nice Guy has held a peace and solidarity football competition for his constituents.
It took the people time to arrive at such a conclusion. This political strong man has been undertaking huge capital projects individually just to alleviate the sufferings of his constituents.
On 12th December, 2021 he officially launched a peace and solidarity competition in constituency 132 in order to unify his people and assured them that the All People’s Congress will definitely form the next government of Sierra Leone.
The Peace and Solidarity Trophy attracted sixteen (16) teams from around constituency 132 in Lumley played at MAFA playing field. The competition tapped into new talents of young people pursuing their respective dreams.
In his statement, Nice Guy thanked and appreciated the people for spending their time and energy towards gracing the historic and remarkable event. A number of items were provided to ensure the successful outcome of the competition e.g. customized football jerseys, footballs, nets, logistical support for all the teams and a star prize of ten million Leones (Le 10,000,000).
He further said, sixteen teams from various communities were captured e.g. Babadorie, Looptonians, Grassfield, Regent Road, Malama, Juba Rock, Kaningo, Kamayama, Sheriff Drive, Black Tank, Crab Town, Freetown Road, Portor, Spur and Pentagon roads within constituency 132 and were drawn to better prepare the APC for the 2023 general elections. He maintained that peace and sanity is key in the process and wished all the teams the best of luck.
In that regard, the community stakeholders like Chiefs, Constituency Chairman and executive, Pastors, Imams etc were excited to have Nice Guy in their midst, more so in opening the development space. Decision makers of 132 pledged to effectively support Nice Guy in whatever activity he does.
The National Secretary General of the APC Youth League Alie Conteh was in attendance and said he is happy for the action of Nice Guy in his undertakings so far in constituency 132. “As young people, we need to be together and we have an obligation to defend, protect and promote the APC,” he said.
In conclusion, he noted that the mid-term census must be ignored by APC supporters and everybody must go ahead with their personal businesses. He congratulated and wished all the teams’ success.
The match was well attended by all facets of society.
