The President of the Sierra Leone Football Association (SLFA) Thomas Daddy Brima on Sunday 21st November 2021 commissioned the first ever Eastern Region Football Association (ERFA) Secretariat situated at 16 Kengeh Street, Kenema eastern region of Sierra Leone.
He noted that since the formation of the organization (Eastern Region Football Association (ERFA) under the leadership of then President of the Sierra Leone Football Association (SLFA) Madam Isha Johansen there was no functional secretariat for the Eastern Region Football Association (ERFA) but that under the leadership of the current SLFA President,Thomas Daddy Brima in less than six (6) months, the Eastern Region Football Association (ERFA) has got a furnished and functional Secretariat with DSTV among other facilities.
Welcoming the President and the Vice President I of the SLFA, and the three District Chairmen of Kailahun, Kenema and Kono and other stakeholders including the Regional Vice Chairman of the Sierra Leone Association of Journalists – East, I.K Musa and other media practitioners, the Acting Regional Chairman and the Vice Chairman of the Eastern Region Football Association, Prince Kai Saque thanked the SLFA President, Thomas Daddy Brima, Vice President I and the SLFA delegation for their visit to the Eastern Region. He also briefed the President of recent developments of the game especially the new League Format that has led to the Super-Ten.
Saque assured the President of ERFA of his total commitment in working with the new administration as he is currently engaged in preaching peace and according to him, the game cannot grow if there is no peace.
The three Chairmen Denis Ngoto Lansana of Kenema, Emmanuel O.K. Lahai of Kailahun and Skaikay from Kono all made contributions. The President and Vice President – I of SLFA assured the audience of their total support in pushing the game in and out the country
In his key note address the President of the Sierra Leone Football Association (SLFA) Thomas Daddy Brima said he is impressed with the current administrative set up by the Eastern Region Football Association (ERFA) and further encouraged the Eastern Region Football Association (ERFA) to continue the good work in a transparent and accountable manner that will bring more people to the FA.
Thomas Daddy Brima reiterated that the time for football politics is over, and that presently his administration is working towards uniting the football family.
