Football in the world they say is a symbol of peace. The head of the Road Maintenance Found (RMF) administration Sierra Leone Mohamed Kallon on Saturday 6th November 2021 donated funds for the just completed grand final of the Kenema District Football Association (KDFA) division two between the Alpha Lions of Kenema and that of the Sewa Strikers of Simbaru Chiefdom Kenema District eastern Sierra Leone.
Speaking at the grand final of the Kenema District Football Association (KDFA) division two at the Kenema City field the Chairman of the Kenema District Football Association (KDFA) Dennis Ngoto Lansana thanked the head of the head of the Road Maintenance Fund (RMF) Sierra Leone Mohamed Kallon for his usual support towards the Kenema District Football Association (KDFA) over the years adding that though the game started but they heard some difficulty with the game in terms of sponsorship till the time he met with the CEO of Road Maintenance Found (RMF) administration Sierra Leone Mohamed Kallon who donated the five million Leones (Le 5,000,000.00) for the winning team and three million Leones (Le 3,000,000.00) trophies, menders and other football items.
Chairman Lansana reiterated that the competition would have started long time ago but because the FA hard lot of challenges the game do not start and that as FA they went through lot of things to see the paved the around the football pitch though they have brothers and sisters in these current government but none could come to their aid in developing the only field and therefore call on football lovers to come to the aid of the FA and develop the Kenema City Field.
BOTH TEAMS IN JUBILANT MOOD
Delivering his keynote address the guest of honor of the Kenema District Football Association (KDFA) division two grand final who doubles as the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the Road Maintenance Found (RMF) administration Sierra Leone Mohamed Kallon thanked the organizer for organizing such competition and said that as a native of Kenema he will always support anything that has to do with the development of Kenema before pledging for the construction of the car park of the Kenema City field before the end of this year.
The Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the Road Maintenance Found (RMF) administration Sierra Leone Mohamed Kallon reiterated that development is part of him and ready at all time to support development in the Kenema district. He also promises supporting the Kenema Kamboi Eagle in their encounter with the Wusum Star from Makeni.
The grand final ended with Alpha Lions lifting the champion trophy.
