297 Sierra Leonean Hajj Pilgrims Depart Saudi Arabia for Sierra Leone 

Jeddah, Tuesday, 24th June 2025

The first batch of 297 Sierra Leonean home-based pilgrims have departed King Abdulaziz International Airport Hajj Terminal for Freetown, following a successful completion of the 1446/2025 Hajj in Makkah. The second batch is scheduled to depart on June 25, 2025.

The Embassy of Sierra Leone in Saudi Arabia, led by Deputy Ambassador Alhaji Abdul Aziz Turay, played a pivotal role in facilitating the departure of the pilgrims, working closely with the Presidential Hajj Taskforce to ensure a smooth and successful Hajj experience.

The Sierra Leone Embassy led by His Excellency Ambassador Mohammed S.  Barrie provided tireless support and assistance to the pilgrims, from arrival to departure, demonstrating the Embassy’s commitment to serving Sierra Leoneans abroad.
