The 2023 Presidential Candidate of the main opposition All People’s Congress (APC) party, Dr Samura M.W Kamara, has officially named his running mate in the person of Hon. Chernor R.M Bah (Chericoco).
This great event took place on Monday 13th March 2023 and at the party’s Headquarters on Old Railway Line Brookfields Freetown in the full view of mammoth supporters, well-wishers, sympathisers and general members of the All People’s Congress (APC) party.
It could be recalled that this same ticket was used by the then ruling APC party in the 2018 elections, though could not emege victorious and therefore, the overwhelming majority clamoured again this time to use same faces and same team which has been dubbed a ‘Red & Ready Team’ to take the APC back to State House in the June 24th 2023 Presidential Elections.
Hon. Chernor R.M Bah (popularly nicknamed Chericoco) is the outgoing Leader of the main opposition APC party in the House of Parliament and he has been in parliament for three consecutive terms onto becoming Deputy Speaker of Parliament in the previous Parliament from 2012 – 2018 among other enviable positions so far.
However, other aspirants (comrades) who were expressing similar interests in the position of Running Mate have all unanimously and formidably endorsed such a decision and have all made firm commitment to supporting the campaigns in their diverse ways with the ultimate singular goal and aspiration to take the APC back to State House and thereby forming the next government in the Republic of Sierra Leone following the June 24th 2023 multitier elections.
And the whole ceremony ended in high note followed by the usual APC victory song.
