The Sierra Leone Bar Association (SLBA) Caretaker Board, represented by spokesman Franklin Campbell Esq., has issued a response to a recent press statement from the newly formed SLBA Executive, led by Tuma Adama Jabbi Kamara Esq. The statement authorized legal action against the SLBA Caretaker Board, challenging its legitimacy.

Campbell expressed confidence in the legality and integrity of the Caretaker Board’s formation process. He emphasized that the process adhered to legal standards and that the board remains committed to upholding these principles.

Additionally, Campbell highlighted that former SLBA presidents had previously urged the Swallow executive to conduct proper elections, a request that had not been contested. He asserted that those confident in their popularity should not fear participating in another election and assured that the Caretaker Board would accept any legitimate outcome.

Campbell also underscored the board’s faith in the Judiciary, noting that the courts are the appropriate venue for resolving such disputes. He affirmed that the Caretaker Board is prepared to present their evidence in court once they are officially served with the legal papers, maintaining that they are strictly following legal procedures and expect justice to prevail.
