Sierra Leone witnessed a historic moment as Mary Yei Yongai, a mass communication student at Fourah Bay College, shattered the Guinness World Record for the most cosmetic make-up applications by an individual in 24 hours. With unwavering determination and the support of her fellow Sierra Leoneans, Yongai achieved an astonishing 111 make-up applications within the allotted time frame.

The remarkable event took place at the Bintumani car park in Freetown, starting on Tuesday, April 30th, and finishing on Wednesday, May 1st, 2024. Yongai’s journey toward this feat has been a stunning testament to her talent and dedication, as she meticulously prepared for the challenge.
