In a botched attempt to absolve itself from taking blame or responsibility for an unfortunate and ugly shooting incident that occurred in one of the hottest and leading Night Clubs inSierra Leone’s capital city of Freetown, known as ScarlettNight Club issued a Press Release dated 3rd January 2023 in which it categorically acknowledged the fact that indeed the shooting incident happened within the axis or environ of the night club.
According to Management, the shooting occurred at the car parking lobby outside, which is far off Scarlett and continued that it further wants the public to know that the shooting occurred between 2:40am and 2:45am on 1st January, 2023 while there was an ongoing celebration for the new year inside Scarlett, a celebration that lasted till 6:30am.
It maintained that there is no way a shooting incident would happen at 2 :45 am and the cutting of a cake marking the commencement of New Year celebration that lasted till 6:30 am.
However, the one-million-dollar question many have been asking is how can it be logically accepted, according to Management of the night club, that the incident did not take place at Scarlett Night Club when in actual fact it indeed took place within the confines or boundary of the night club?Whether it was inside or outside the fact of the matter is that the incident did happen at Scarlett.
Indeed such is understandable when cognizance is taken of the fact that as a club that is frequented by influential people in society the Management does not want the integrity and reputation of the club to be tarnished which is why it has twisted the turn of the ugly shooting incident to create the impression that it did not take place at the night club when the facts vividly speak otherwise.
It could be recalled that on New Year’s eve at the Scarlettnight club at Aberdeen a skirmish occurred inside the club in which a Sierra Leonean Lebanese national by the name of Hussein Fawaz and a Turkish national were involved in a bitter misunderstanding which resulted into heated arguments during which Fawaz, while in the process of being forcefully removed from the night club, was fired at by the Turkish national sustaining multiple gunshot wounds and had to be rushed to an hospital for medical treatment while the perpetrator was arrested by the Police but later released by the police due to orders from the above.
It was also understood that the weapon used in the shooting incident was a military one raising doubts as to how the Turkish national got access to it. Did he snatch it from a security personnel?
Management of the club must take full responsibility of what transpired as it is the expectation that it should have a water tight security in place to prevent such from taking place. Were the bouncers of the club not around to restrain the Turkish national? Management must note that such an incident has the tendency of making foreigners or customers shy away from the club which is why many are calling on them to improve on their security apparatus. The Management and Staff of Scarlett would want the public to know that the allegation on social media that a shooting of a customer (Hussein) by another was done inside the club, is completely false and misleading.
The shooting happens in the car parking lobby outside, which is far off Scarlett.
Management further want the public to know that the shooting occurs between 2:40am and 2:45am on 1st January, 2023 while there was an ongoing celebration for the new year inside Scarlett, a celebration that lasted till 6:30am.
There was no way a shooting would occurs at 2:45am in Scarlett and the cutting of cake for a celebration, marking the 2023 new year commenced at 3am inside the same Scarlett.
Management therefore frowns at false and misleading informations aims at destroying the business good reputation.
As Management wish Hussein Fawaz speedy recovery, they would want the public to know that the matter is under police investigations.
