Retired Kenyan Justice Appointed Head of the Tripartite Secretariat

, retired Justice Amraphael Mbogholl Msagha, a Kenyan legal expert, is set to lead the secretariat of the tripartite committee aiming to bring justice to Sierra Leone. His role will be crucial in addressing human rights violations and fostering democratic restoration in the troubled nation.

Another Kenyan, Supreme Court Judge Isaac Lenaola, will play a pivotal role as the Vice President of the Residual Special Court for Sierra Leone. This appointment underscores Kenya’s commitment to contributing expertise in the pursuit of justice and stability in the region.

Accordingly Resolution 4 takes a significant step forward as a special expert team from the United Kingdom, generously funded by the British government, is deployed to comprehensively investigate alleged wrongdoings related to political prisoners and detainees in Sierra Leone. This initiative aims to address long-standing concerns and bring accountability to those responsible.

As these transformative efforts unfold, the commitee encouraged the public to place their trust in the tripartite committee’s dedication to justice.
