Port Loko, 23 February 2024 – Sheik Alhaji Mohamed “Omodu” Kamara alias Jagaban, a philanthropist and business mogul, in a heartwarming gesture, has generously donated Le 47m towards the construction of Masjid Aqsa on Old Falaba Rd in Port Loko City.
The donation was prompted by a viral video from one social media bloggers, ATM Machine, appealing for support towards the construction of the Masjid.
The Chief Imam of the Masjid, Sheik Alhaji Osman Foday Fofanah, expressed gratitude on behalf of his congregation and offered prayers for Jagaban.
The people of the community welcomed the donation with open arms, expressing deep appreciation for Jagaban’s significant contribution to the mosque’s construction.
In a related act of kindness, the Global Chairlady of the Jagaban Movement, Haja Isatu “Potoo” Kamara, has also donated blankets to the Board of Imams of the Masjid and school bags to members of the Jagaban Team in Port Loko. Such acts of generosity and support are truly commendable and reflect the spirit of unity and compassion within the community. The community appreciated her gesture.
