The Institute of Chartered Accountants of Sierra Leone (ICASL) has exonerated Mrs. Lara Taylor-Pearce, the former Auditor-General of Sierra Leone, and Mr. Tamba Momoh, former Deputy Auditor-General, from any allegations of professional misconduct during their time at the Audit Service Sierra Leone.

An investigation conducted by ICASL concluded that both Taylor-Pearce and Momoh operated with transparency and adhered strictly to international auditing standards.

According to the ICASL Investigation Committee’s report, the pair demonstrated a consistent commitment to public accountability and complied with both the ICASL Code of Ethics and the guidelines set by the International Organization of Supreme Audit Institutions (INTOSAI).

The report revealed that neither individual had breached ethical standards or engaged in any form of misconduct.

“Their work as auditors remained professional and within the scope of established auditing guidelines,” the report stated, clearing them of all accusations

.This verdict from the ICASL follows an in-depth inquiry into their professional conduct, further reinforcing that Mrs. Taylor-Pearce and Mr. Momoh maintained the ethical standards expected of chartered accountants in Sierra Leone.

Their reputations have now been fully restored, allowing them to continue their careers free of any legal or professional barriers.
