CALL FOR EXPRESSION OF INTEREST FOR GIZ CONSULTANTS AND CONSULTING FIRMS DATABASE UPDATE FOR 2025

- Context
GIZ is a German federal enterprise that provides cooperation services for sustainable development and international educational action. It supports the German government in realizing its goals in this area. It works with public and private institutions such as the Sierra Leone public sector, the European Union or private sector companies among others and is present in around 120 countries around the world.
For the coordination of its activities in Sierra Leone, the GIZ Office in Freetown supports the various projects and programs in specific areas of expertise.
As part of the supply of services, particularly in the area of intellectual services, it works with a pool of local consultants and consulting firms in various areas of intervention.
In order to update its database, GIZ is launching this call for applications, in order to identify the expertise and profiles that could support it in the implementation of its mission.
- Objective
The objective of this call for expressions of interest is to update the database of the procurement and contracts department; and to identify consultants, service providers and partners in specific areas that could participate in the implementation of GIZ’s vision in Sierra Leone. Technical expertise is sought for the following themes:
- Organisational and management consulting
- Personnel selection, management and training
- Rural development, agriculture, fishing and food
- Natural resources, biodiverity, oceans/coasts
- Energy, transport and climate change
- Communication, multimedia and social media
- Private sector development and economic policy
- Crises, conflicts, disasters, displacement and migration
- Digitalisation
- IT implementation and operation
- Vocational education and youth
- Financial systems and insurance
- Social protection and health
- Democracy, decentralisation, urban development
- Public finance and administration, anti-corruption, integrity
- Rules of law, human rights & gender, security
- Environmental management, water, waste, resource efficiency
- Legal consulting, external and internal auditing
- Planning and architectural services
- Translation and interpreting services
- Monitoring and evaluation
- Event management
- Others (to be specified)
Interested consultants and consulting firms can send a request for the complete and detailed documentation by email at giz-sierra-leone@giz.de not later than Wednesday 22.01.2025
After receiving the request via email, GIZ will share the invitation to participate and bid sheet with the individual consultant or consulting firm.
The email subject should be: “Expression of interest for consultancy services_GIZ 2025”
Upon submission of the bid, you will be required to send us the documents below:
- Updated CV
- Filled bid sheet
- Brief presentation on the services and field of expertise
- Proofs of execution of contracts in the field of expertise
Please note that late bids will be rejected
