Commissioners of the Electoral Commission for Sierra Leone (ECSL) have been caught supporting President Bio’s more five years term agenda through by joining the Sierra Leone People’s Party (SLPP) stakeholders to demonstrate the five (5) more years sign.
This happened on the nomination day of the SLPP Presidential Candidate, Julius Maada Bio, on the 2nd May 2023 right at the conference room of the ECSL headquarters on Tower Hill.

Even as the International Community as well as the people of Sierra Leone are calling for a free, fair, transparent and credible elections, the referees who are the ECSL Comissioners in the circumstance were busy displaying signs of favoring President Bio for his second five years term bid which was very unfortunate.
This was the more reason why the All People’s Congress (APC) Presidential Candidate, Dr Samura Kamara, continued calling the ECSL, on his nomination day, to ensure the conduct of a free, fair, credible and transparent elections on June 24th 2023 so as to provide a peaceful atmosphere during and after the elections as well as elections outcome or results that will be acceptable by all political parties including the main opposition All People’s Congress (APC) party.
Therefore, national and international elections observers are particularly urged to have a closer watch of these Commissioners because anything otherwise will be counterproductive to the peace and security of the nation in the June 24th 2023 elections.
The ECSL commissioners for the 24th June 2023 general election in Sierra Leone are party card carriers of the ruling Sierra Leone people party SLPP.
