The All People’s Congress (APC) is set to commence its Internal Lower-Level Elections in 2025, according to Mohamed Pope Kamara, the party’s National Deputy Publicity Secretary. This announcement marks a significant step in the party’s preparation for future organizational and electoral events.

Kamara also revealed that the APC is gearing up for its National Delegates’ Convention (NDC), scheduled for 2026. The decision to move forward with these elections and conventions follows the presentation of the final report and recommendations from the Tripartite Committee.

Kamara emphasized the importance of accepting the outcomes of the 2023 elections and focusing on the party’s future. He noted that since the conclusion of the controversial elections, there has been limited progress and communication from the national leadership. Many party members have expressed concerns over a lack of updates and engagement, which Kamara attributed to a narrow focus on the Tripartite Committee’s activities.

He urged members interested in running for lower-level positions, particularly at the ward level, to begin their preparations now. Kamara also reassured that the APC retains its potential to lead the nation in the 2028 elections.

In addition, the APC has recently completed its membership registration and verification drive across the country’s five regions. This initiative is part of the party’s broader strategy to address membership issues and enhance its organizational database in preparation for upcoming activities.
