The All Peoples Congress (APC) Parliamentary Group, in collaboration with its National Officers, has announced the launch of monthly press conferences starting May 2024.

The APC, recognizing the pressing challenges facing Sierra Leone in governance, economy, and social welfare, aims to keep the public informed and actively involved in addressing these issues.

According to the press release issued by the APC, the initiative aims to enhance communication between the party and the general public, foster transparency in governance, articulate the party’s stance on critical national issues, and hold the Sierra Leone Peoples Party (SLPP) government accountable for its responsibilities to the nation.

Each monthly press conference will provide updates on parliamentary activities, highlighting both progress and challenges within the legislature. Additionally, sessions will feature insights from former ministers and various experts, offering alternative solutions and perspectives on critical national matters.

Hon. Abdul Kargbo, the APC Leader in Parliament, emphasized the importance of the initiative, stating, “Ultimately, the APC monthly press conference will not only enrich public discourse but also promote a deeper understanding of the policy alternatives and governance strategies proposed by the APC.”

The APC Parliamentary Press Conferences will be broadcasted on selected TV and radio stations, allowing citizens across the nation to participate and stay informed about the party’s initiatives and perspectives on national issues.
