In a touching display of community support, the Antonio Rudiger Foundation has once again come to the aid of the Kono Diamond Stars football team as they prepare for a crucial matchup against Bo Rangers this Sunday.
The foundation generously donated football jerseys, match boots, off-pitch wear, shin guards, and various training equipment to the team.Patrick Kamara, President of the Antonio Rudiger Foundation, emphasized the organization’s deep connection to Kono.
“Kono is our home, and we are proud to support the team with these essential resources,” he stated. Kamara assured supporters that the foundation remains committed to assisting the team whenever possible and encouraged the people of Kono to continue praying for Rudiger’s success on the pitch.Adding to Kamara’s remarks was a voice message from Real Madrid defender Antonio Rudiger himself.
“I am happy to give back to my roots, which is why I sent my foundation team members to Kono. I would have loved to be there in person, but my match schedule prevents me from doing so at this moment,” he said.
Rudiger expressed his commitment to the people of Kono and promised to visit soon.Upon receiving the donation, Sahr Gbondo, president of Kono Diamond Stars, expressed profound gratitude, recognizing the significance of such contributions.
“We are incredibly thankful to the foundation for considering our team. These football equipment items will certainly serve their intended purpose,” he said.
Gbondo urged the players to look to Rudiger as a source of inspiration, reminding them that success can emerge from Kono through hard work and dedication to developing their skills.
To further bolster the team’s preparations for the upcoming match, Football Regional Chairman Prince Saquee contributed an additional $400 to support the Kono Diamond Stars as they face the Leone Rock Premier League defending champions.
