The anticipation is palpable as Sierra Leone gears up for the grand finale of the Miss Sierra Leone 2023 beauty pageant, scheduled to take place today October 21st 2023, at the prestigious Bintumani Conference Centre in Freetown. Organised by Miss Sierra Leone Limited, a non-profit company with a rich tradition of hosting the national competition since 2001, the event promises to be a spectacular celebration of beauty, talent, and empowerment.
In a recent interview, Madam Jenneh Amara Bangali, one of the Board members of Miss Sierra Leone Limited, expressed her excitement for the upcoming event. When asked about the preparations, expectations, and new initiatives for this year’s pageant, she shared, “We are as prepared as we can be! We’ve collaborated with the Ministry of Tourism and the dynamic new Minister, Mrs. Naabila Tunis. We are looking forward to a partnership that will bear awesome fruits! Itโs been a tough ride, but we thank God, and we are ready for the event! The winner gets to represent Sierra Leone at Miss World in India.”
Furthermore, this year’s pageant introduces a novel initiative. “All the contestants will be Ambassadors for their Districts for a year, working hand in hand with Miss Sierra Leone,” Madam Jenneh Amara Bangali revealed.
“We expect to have Sierra Leoneans turn up to support their Districts! This year we will be viewed in 23 African countries on AYV, DSTV, and online! We will be promoting our lovely country, Sierra Leone. We believe that the event will be up to the expectations of the audience and viewers!” Madam Amara Bangali Asserted.
